BOOK DETAILS:

Better When It Hurts by Skye Warren
(Stripped #2)
Publication date: June 4th 2015
Genres: Adult, Romance

Synopsis:
Five years ago we lived in the same house. He was the ultimate bad boy. And my foster brother.

Now he’s back. Tougher, harder, meaner. All of it aimed at me, because I was the one who sent him away. It’s payback time. He wants his pound of flesh, and I am helpless to say no.

Review:

I wasn't very impressed with this one. Supposedly you can read this as a stand-alone even though it is part of a series so I did not read the first book. I wish I had. I felt like I was missing out on some things in this book.

The writing is done really well but I did not enjoy the characters at all. Hannah/Lola, in my opinion, was a bipolar mess that made her hard to relate to and even harder to keep up with in the story. One minute she's a strong, badass stripper, and then the next minute she's Hannah and I'm not even sure what kind of personality Hannah really had. Blue wasn't very impressive either. He just seemed very immature. It was hard for me to like any of these characters. Skye Warren is a great writer and I might try something else that she writes but I will not be reading this series again.
